Clinical Presentation and Management of Coronavirus Disease 2019 in Renal Allograft Recipients: A Case Series

Complications of coronavirus disease 2019 infection in renal transplant recipients are associated with significant morbidity and mortality and the existence of co-morbidities are more likely to develop serious illness. In this case series the clinical outcomes of coronavirus disease 2019 in 6 recipients tested positive is explained. D-dimer, ferritin and C-reactive protein values are elevated in all cases. The patients were on immunosuppressant therapy and had stable graft function before coronavirus disease 2019 infection. After the diagnosis, management included reduction and withdrawal of immunosuppression and significant changes in corticosteroids.
