Abstract
In vitro raised shoot culture of T. indica was established on MS medium with 2.5 mg/l BA and 0.1mg/l IAA. An excellent rate of shoot multiplication was achieved. The tissue culture-generated shoots were rooted in the medium containing IAA for in vitro development of roots. A highly regenerative system has been developed by using leaf explants from mature plant. This system can be effectively used to multiply the plant material.
